At Maison Michel-Sarrazin, on January 29, 2024, at the age of 69, Mr. Pierre Asselin died. He was the husband of Mrs. Cathy Nolan, son of the late Mrs. Thérèse Tremblay and the late Mr. Eugène Asselin. He lived in Quebec.

He is survived by, in addition to his wife Cathy; his children: Nicolas Brassard-Asselin (Laura Élisabeth Trempe) and Laura Rocks (Julie Laroche); his granddaughter Michelle; his sisters and his brother: Andrée, Danielle and Jean-Yves (Lilia Sanchez), as well as his nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Pierre worked as a journalist for the daily Le Soleil for more than 35 years (1980/2018). He began his career at the Soleil office in La Pocatière. Over the years, Pierre has written texts in the newsroom as a generalist, as well as in the Economy section, then as a science popularizer and, finally, as an editorialist.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Jeffery Hale Wellness Centre and Maison Michel-Sarrazin for the exceptional care.
