C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre maman adorée, Claire, le 29 février 2024, à l'âge de 78 ans. Épouse de feu Derek McBain et fille bienveillante de feu Leo G. Haberlin et de feu Ettie (Brigid) Bowles. Elle demeurait à Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier.

Le service religieux sera célébré le samedi 6 avril 2024 à 14 heures en l’église de Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, 2333, boulevard Valcartier, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier Qc. La famille vous accueillera en l’église à compter de 12 h30 pour recevoir vos condoléances.

Une mère aimante et dévouée, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Kevin (Carrie), Kenny (Luce), Gregory (Delfina) et Darlene (Hugues); ses petits-enfants adorés : Gabrielle (Guillaume), Alison (Jordan), Antoine, Liam, Ryan, Lindsey, Jamie et Zoë. ‘’Nanny’’ a partagé avec chacun d’eux un lien privilégié qui restera à jamais gravé dans leur cœur. Elle a été un soutien constant et une source de grands conseils et son amour n’a fait que grandir avec l'arrivée récente de ses arrière-petites-filles Blake et Sloane, qui ont illuminé sa vie au-delà de toute mesure.

Claire était la sœur attentive et toujours présente de feu Ralph, de feu Frank, et laisse derrière elle dans le deuil sa petite sœur et grande confidente Helena (feu Peter). Elle manquera aussi à ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs, Keith (Joy), Bryce (Beverly) et Dianne (Bob) ainsi que ses nombreux cousins, nièces et neveux, qui occupaient tous une place particulière dans son cœur. Elle laisse également derrière elle de précieux amis, qu'il s'agisse de ses amis d’enfance ou de son cercle d'amies connu sous le nom des « Dollies », avec qui elle chérissait ses sorties fréquentes.

The funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Église de Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier Church, 2333, boulevard Valcartier, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, Qc. The family will welcome you at the Church from 12:30 p.m. to receive your condolences.

A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by her children Kevin (Carrie), Kenny (Luce), Gregory (Delfina) and Darlene (Hugues); and her adored grandchildren Gabrielle (Guillaume), Alison (Jordan), Antoine, Liam, Ryan, Lindsey, Jamie and Zoë. ''Nanny'' shared with each of them a special bond that will remain forever engraved in their hearts. She was a constant support and source of great guidance, and her love and affection only grew with the recent arrival of her great-granddaughters Blake and Sloane, who brightened her life beyond measure.

Claire was the ever-present and attentive sister of the late Ralph and Frank, and is survived by her younger sister and great confidante Helena (late Peter). She will also be sadly missed by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Keith (Joy), Bryce (Beverly) and Dianne (Bob), as well as her many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind precious friends, from her childhood and to her circle of lady friends known as the "Dollies'' with whom she cherished her frequent outings.
