Passed away peacefully at Laval Hospital in Quebec City on January 23, 2009 at the age of 86 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Sheila A. Kennedy for 54 devoted years. He was the wonderful father of Kathryn, the late Susan, Valerie (François Lefebvre), Anthony (Sandra Jennekens), Barbara (Jean Larocque), Robert (Nathalie Touzel), Richard; and grandfather of Melanie, Sarah, Natalie, Isabelle, Janine, Olivier, Colin, Elizabeth and Simon. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Carmela (the late Jack Langlois), the late Dr. Anthony (the late Dorothy James), Joan (Dr. Joseph Hazel), Douglas (Beverly Girard) and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was a chemical engineering graduate of Laval University.

The funeral will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 1135 de Salaberry, Quebec City, at 11 a.m. on January 31, 2009. Family will receive condolences at the church one hour before the mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to La Fondation de l’Hôpital Laval, 2725, chemin Sainte-Foy, Québec (Québec) G1V 4G5.
