Éric Miller

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father Eric Miller. On May 16, he passed away at the age of 76 after a long illness.

Surrounded by love, he is survived by HIS gang, as he liked to say: his beloved spouse of the last 60 years Carole Bernard, his four children Nathalie (Claude Perron), Stéphane, Isabelle (Richard Huot) and Bernard (Audrey Miller) as well as his seven adorable grandchildren: Audrey and Marc-Alexandre Perron, Charlotte Houde and Sandrine Huot, Raphaël, Samuel and William Miller as well as his great friends Pauline and Pierre Villeneuve.

He worked as a longshoreman at the Port of Quebec as a teenager before becoming a firefighter for 31 years in Quebec City, then a tour guide at Stepon for 21 years. He was a great ambassador of Quebec City, which he knew by heart and loved deeply. He will be missed by many childhood and school (Quebec High School) friends as well as former co-workers. His generosity and kindness will remain anchored in the memory of all who knew him.

Due to the pandemic, the funeral will be held at a later date.

We would like to thank all the contributors who allowed our father to go through this last adventure with serenity. The CRCEO and 4400 at Hôtel-Dieu de Québec staff, in particular nurses Josiane and Michel.
